There is a difference between walking in the Holy Spirit and doing the good works of God because you're doing it in his power. His power, the power of the Holy Spirit versus going out and doing it on your own strength.
SPEAKER_00Hello and welcome to another Fearless Friday. We are ecstatic to be here to talk with you. I'm one of your Fearless Queens Tina. And I'm the other Sarah.
SPEAKER_02We got some Holy Spirit fire up in here.
SPEAKER_00Yes, we do. You either gonna get burned in the fire, or you're gonna catch the fire.
SPEAKER_02You know who's with you in the fire.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_02Refined by the fire.
SPEAKER_00Refined. All good things happen when we bring in the Holy Spirit and let him do the work. Bad things happen when we try to do it ourselves.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Uh we keep talking about the Holy Spirit a lot, and it's not for no reason. Um, it's what God wants us to talk about.
SPEAKER_00He died, he died for us so that he could rise and then come back and bring his Holy Spirit into us to indwell in our bodies as the temple of the Holy Spirit. And it's his work.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_00It's him, it's the power of him that is anything good in anybody.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it is nobody but the Lord. And it's his spirit that lived in Jesus, is now the spirit that lives in each and every one of us who accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. What I got to learn over the weekend was the Holy Spirit, when the fire came down and it hit everybody in the upper room at Pentecost, it went straight to their mouths. Shout out to Pastor Philip Anthony Mitchell for the sermon he gave on that. But I thought it was so wise because uh the Bible says, out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks. So of course the Holy Spirit touches the tongue, it touches the mouth, the fire. So it's burning everything that was not of God and then catching fire to mold and ooze and dwell in the new heart of flesh that God had given them because they believe in Jesus Christ, he died for them, and then the gift of Jesus, not only the salvation, but the Holy Spirit that was to come, because he said, wait, wait until you go out and share the good news to all the nations. They needed the Holy Spirit fire first. So there's a difference when you are walking in the spirit versus the difference when you are just walking in the flesh but believing the things of God. Oh, say that again. There is a difference between walking in the Holy Spirit and doing the good works of God because you're doing it in his power. His power, the power of the Holy Spirit versus going out and doing it on your own strength and just having the knowledge. Yes.
SPEAKER_00There's knowledge and there's wisdom. Yes. We're going to talk about the wisdom today. That's powerful. Yes. We're already dropping it high within five minutes. I hope you all are ready. And if you're here, if you're listening, I know that there's got to be some part of you that was led to listen to this. Amen.
SPEAKER_02So we gotta start. If you don't know it already, good uh just to know is Proverbs is the book of wisdom, as well as Ecclesiastes. Very good books of wisdom in the Bible.
SPEAKER_00And interestingly enough, wisdom is actually a lot of times referred to as a woman or as a lady.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_00In the Bible. Yes, yes, her, her, this or her that. And I think that's powerful. And there's a reason God did that.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely. Yes. Because he does have pronouns and it's a he. It was this is a side digression a little bit, but we got a comment the other day, and it said, Everybody knows that God's a she. And I was like, Oh, I rebuke you in the name of Jesus because that is not welcome here. No, and he's a he, so is the Holy Spirit. It's not an it, he's a he, just like Jesus is a he and God is a he.
SPEAKER_00And I had to be said that no, you absolutely correct. She's 100% correct. And whenever I see or hear or am around certain things like that, it reminds me of when Jesus was on the cross, or whenever this happened, and he said, forgive them, Father, they know not what they do. Because if you really knew in your heart what he did for you and what your words are putting out, you you wouldn't do it. So it's it's wanting the Holy Spirit to come in and reshape. And here's the thing: we fight again, we don't fight against flesh and blood, we fight against the principalities in the air, the evil spirits around us. Yes. So there is a fine line between hearing the wisdom and revelation of the Lord and listening to the enemy who also knows the word of God.
SPEAKER_02Yes. The difference between the two, because disciples, they know the word of God and they obey the word of God. The demons of the world, they know the word of God and they tremble because they're not following, they're not obeying. So there's two different things. So check yourself: are you a demon or are you a disciple?
SPEAKER_00Well, and it's important to realize, I think that, you know, as I experienced to this weekend, some people, I think they legitimately do not know certain things because number one, they don't pick up the word. Number two, they probably my observation is there's not a lot of people praying for them or not a lot of people telling them the truth.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, the capital T R U T H.
SPEAKER_00And a lot of times people are in positions of leadership and they utilize the leadership like on that left side you were talking about. They know it, they know the knowledge, but they're not sharing the wisdom. And forgive them, they know not what they're doing. Maybe they're just going through the motions of, well, this is what I'm supposed to do, and this is what I know to do. And unfortunately, when we have leaders in within the church body who aren't breathing out the fire of the Holy Spirit, the little followers, the little sheep, are probably confused because they're just listening to the leader. I know.
SPEAKER_02No, I gotta say this because it's quenching the Holy Spirit. And we don't want to be a body of Christ or a believer to quench the Holy Spirit. It's like a hose that has kinks in it. You want it to flow to max capacity. Nobody wants to take a shower that's like little drip drops. Okay. You want that full water flowing. And so when you're quenching the Holy Spirit, no matter if it's at church, if it's in a conversation with somebody, if it's during worship, we're always on an agenda. We're always on a schedule. This, that, and the other needs to happen at this, that, and the other time. Well, did you know that we serve a God who is outside of time? That we live in time, but he's outside of time. So whatever is supposed to happen, he will stretch time to make happen. So if there is something that needs to be done at a certain time, there's gonna be things along the way that happen to get you at that time. But if you just keep going with your regiment schedule, you're going to miss it. So forgive them for they know not what they do. But that is what quenching the Holy Spirit is. And the more you quench the Holy Spirit, whether you're a believer or not, that is the Antichrist spirit. I'm not saying that they are antichrist, but that is the spirit of the antichrist. And we need the spirit of Christ, the body of Christ, to bring up the bride to be ready for the bridegroom. We've talked about this a few times since we've been talking about the Holy Spirit so much the last few episodes. It's important to know because as much as the body of Christ is rising and preparing and getting ready for Jesus' second coming, the Antichrist is always going to rise as well because they're in battle, right? Right? Tina just said it. We're not fighting against uh flesh and blood. We're fighting against the principalities of this world. This is a spiritual warfare. Everything that happens in the natural happens in the spiritual beforehand. So the Antichrist comes to steal, kill, and destroy. So, of course, if you get to the believers who are on this regimented schedule, who are doing what they know they're supposed to be doing, but there's no room for that inner fire to burst, to flame, to go and move, then everybody, unfortunately, it's the same thing: repetitive, repeating over and over. You know what to expect. God is a God of suddenly, if he wants to change something, he's gonna do it all of a sudden. It seems like nothing's happening, but then all of a sudden, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Uh we have a we have a podcast called Along the Way. Yes. And when you said that, and it's about Jesus, he didn't like his plan wasn't mapped out all the time. It was along the way that he did healing. So go listen to that podcast.
SPEAKER_02Yes, so often we have everything written down, like this is what I want to do for the next year. And it's great to have plans, but the we're gonna get into it, I promise. But Jesus seriously says, you know, uh, for I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. Plans to prosper you and plans, that's Jeremiah 29, 11. Yes. And then Proverbs 3, 5, 6, and 7, uh, trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not into your own understanding. So, yes, if you know what you are gonna be preaching for the next 17 Sundays, awesome. But what if the Holy Spirit gets a hold of you because of a circumstance that you ran into and changes your whole thing? Are you gonna listen to the Holy Spirit or are you gonna listen to everything that you yeah, your schedule? Because if you're listening to the schedule, sorry, not sorry, but that's the quenching of the Holy Spirit. Because if he's telling you to move, you move. If he's telling you to stay, stay. If he's telling you to wait, wait. I mean, yeah, this is biblical. This is not Saratina. We pray that we are not even up in here. We want the Holy Spirit to just fall on these microphones through us. People think that we're crazy. We're crazy for Jesus.
SPEAKER_00We are crazy for Jesus because he's everything. Yes, he is everything. I lived 38 years not knowing who he was, but following a religion. Yeah. And then I met the person of Jesus Christ, the invitation. Great podcast. Go back and listen. We should probably do a new invitation. We should. However, I right. I need to share my dream. Yes. Because I think this is for me, what I think the Lord showed me is this is a perfect depiction of the church. And insert your church. And I pray you are on this side, not this.
SPEAKER_02Are we talking about Capital C church? Correct. Okay, yes.
SPEAKER_00Yes. So I, yes, the the the building.
SPEAKER_02The body of Christ.
SPEAKER_00So I had a dream where um it was a bunch of us going on a highway. So this was this way going the highway, and this was this way going the other side of the highway. And I had there was a bunch of people on this side, and we were we were in a vehicle and we were driving and we were having fun. And then on the other side, I saw a pastor. And he was going the right way on the road, but nobody was following him. And I'm like, he's going the wrong way. But then my flesh is like, well, no, he's going the right way. He's on the right side of the road, going the right way. But he wasn't going the right way because everyone was going this way, and the person leading was going the opposite direction. No one was following him. And I'm like, oh man.
SPEAKER_02Can I ask you a question about your dream?
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_02And you might not know it yet. Uh, because you know the Holy Spirit gives you dreams. God gives dreams.
SPEAKER_00They talk. I mean, we talked about that, right? Dreams and visions will happen to men and women, just so you know.
SPEAKER_02Yes. And with that, so you said everybody was on one side. We have to be careful to follow the crowd. Do you remember who was on? Not specific names, but was it people that were on fire for the Lord?
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, it was it was people I loved. It was like the people I gathered with and fellowshipped with and prayed with.
SPEAKER_02Yes. In that sense.
SPEAKER_00Yes, exactly. It was people who were going the right way. I mean, I I know that sounds like human, but like it was also scary to see a pastor and no one was following him. Because I think so often we look at our pastor as a god.
SPEAKER_02That's idolization. That is a sin. Do not have any other gods before me, says the Lord. That is one of the first ten commandments. It's like number one. Because he's a jealous God. So it's awesome to love your pastor and pray for your pastor, but God needs to be before that.
SPEAKER_00Yep.
SPEAKER_02You want to know who else needs to be before your pastor? Your husband or your wife. You know, if you're listening to your pastor, but you're not listening to your spouse, that's a problem.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And if you're only going to church because you love the pastor, like that's the only reason. That's a whole nother topic. We're going to get into Proverbs. Yes, we are. Because we're getting a little off course here. So Proverbs 9, 10 is a great place to start. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. Reverent fear for the Lord's will over your life is where it begins. Because then your desires, your will, your thoughts, your words, your actions are the Lord's.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Absolutely. It says it again because the cool thing about the Bible is it's a living, breathing thing. And so his word has power and he says it in different areas so people can pick it up if they missed it in somewhere else. It's just a whole book of repetition and saying things in different ways. So this is Proverbs 1. In my version, it's seven, eight, and nine. It says, How does a man become wise? Well, the first step is to trust and reverence the Lord. And if you're not a fool, or I'm sorry, if you're not a if you're not wise, then default is a fool. And it says only fools refuse to be taught. And I want to go to the uh definition of wisdom. Wisdom is the ability to make sound judgment, decisions, and actions based on knowledge, experience, and deep understanding. I don't know about you, but walking in wisdom sounds a lot better than this. A fool lacks judgment, sense, behaves in a silly, unwise manner.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna go right over because I think we hear that we're like, oh gosh, I'm already convicted. But I want to go right over to James.
SPEAKER_02Conviction is good because it means the Lord has a hold of you and He loves you and He's sharing something with you to grow you.
SPEAKER_00Yes, and condemnation is not from God, just so you know. So there's a there's a definite difference between condemnation and conviction. Condemnation is a is attached to guilt and shame. Condemnation, conviction is a creating of a spirit in your heart to want to be better. So James 1:5. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God. God, you can go to your brothers and sisters in Christ, you can ask for prayer, you can even share your heart and your emotions in love, not in gossip and anger. Like there is a scripture about just shutting your mouth. Like, don't speak in anger. You can feel it, you can work through it, but when you speak it, it's I think it says it's a fool. We'll find it. The Lord will help us. But this is talking about going to God first.
SPEAKER_02Yes, because it is biblical to have wise counsel in your life, which is after you go to the Lord. Because most of the time we run to somebody else prior before talking to God. And we've said this in multiple thing episodes now are you praying for this person first? Are you going right to them first? Are you supposed to be even talking to them? Same thing with wisdom. Pray and ask God for the wisdom, and then He will bring you that wise counsel to bounce ideas off of. Because if you're talking about something to the wrong person, that can quench the Holy Spirit, that can lead you into destruction, confuse you, and confusion's not from God.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, absolutely. But okay, if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. He says, Ask and it is given, seek and you shall find, knock and the door will be opened. And it's so important to ask in the name of Lord. Seek in the name of the Lord, knock in the name of the Lord.
SPEAKER_02That is James 1:5.
SPEAKER_00Yes. And I'm also paraphrasing other scripture as well. Awesome. Probably Matthew.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_00But let him ask in faith, with no doubting. For the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. I don't want to be driven and tossed by the wind.
SPEAKER_02No, the wind is here and there. You want to be a steady, firm foundation.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_02Because when the wind comes, you don't want to go with the wind. You want to be solid and firm. Um, this is go.
SPEAKER_00I gotta read the rest. Yes. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord. He is a double-minded man, unstable in all of his ways. I mean, we both, we both fight again, we all fight against the the flesh and the spirit. I mean, it says that we're going to do that. But if you're like, if you're continually wavering, like, oh, I love Jesus. Oh, did you see what that girl did? Oh my god, I can't believe she was wearing that. Like you're double-minded, you're going with whatever the crowd says to go with.
SPEAKER_02It's uh living a double life.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's exhausting.
SPEAKER_02It is. Um and the Lord Lord, we just pray for that person. We pray for the people who are struggling with double-mindedness right now in this moment. We just pray for conviction and peace and love and comfort them, Jesus. Um comfort them in their conviction. Um, and I just thank you for that. In Jesus' name, amen. Amen. Um, let's keep going with uh wisdom because God is so good. Proverbs, Corinthians, James, all throughout the Bible. Yeah, this is Proverbs 2, verse 6. For the Lord grants wisdom. From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. So I love reading things backwards. I learned this little tidbit from a pastor, Jerry Flowers. Um, so knowledge and understanding come from whose mouth? The Lord. And from that we get wisdom. So it's not your mama, your daughter, your grandma, your grandfather, whatever. Yes, they have wisdom nuggets, they can, especially if they've been walking with the Lord.
SPEAKER_00And they're you'll know them by their fruits.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Amen. But you don't want to go to the fool who's built their house on the s on the sand and take instruction from them because then you will crumble just like they have crumbled. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And they might feed your ego for a little bit.
SPEAKER_02You want to be around people who are gonna sharpen you, love you, but also sharpen you because if you're being comforted in your comfortability, you're not growing. You're you're it's like um tending to your garden. If you just, oh, you know, we did it all, we love our garden, it looks great, and we never touch it again. It's going to, it's gonna not grow.
SPEAKER_00It's going to be choked out by weeds.
SPEAKER_02Yes. So if you let the weeds continue to grow, you have to pull them out, and that hurts. So you need people to come alongside you and help pull out the weeds within you. And that's the body of Christ. That's why we need more people to be and walk in the spirit, more spaghetti, less regretti.
SPEAKER_00And it gets real dirty up in those weeds. So you gotta be ready to get dirty and know that Jesus is gonna wash you clean.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Washed by the blood, washed by the water. Yeah. Oh, hallelujah. I'm free.
SPEAKER_00I love it. So, what did you just read? What was that scripture? That was because when you were reading that scripture, I opened to the one I wanted, wanted to read.
SPEAKER_02So read your two six.
SPEAKER_00Read yours again. I'm gonna read mine.
SPEAKER_02For the Lord grants wisdom. Exclamation mark from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
SPEAKER_00So I am reading Ephesians 1:17, and that's that the Lord, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. It's literally the Father, the Son, Holy Spirit, what he did for us in one little sentence. You can ask for him. You can ask that the God, head of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son, the Father of glory, may give you the spirit, the Holy Spirit fire of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.
SPEAKER_02Wow.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Uh so as we're talking about this, we so good.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02There's a difference, and I got we touched on this a little bit at the beginning, but walk because the gifts come the whole we talked about those gifts last week, I believe. Um, they come without a repentant heart. So the difference of walking in the gifts in the Holy Spirit is that fire, is that boldness, is that fearlessness, is you're not swayed with the wind or what people hear and say. Of course, we're human beings and we fall short. However, the people who are walking in their gifts that don't have a repentant heart and are not following the Lord, it it looks good, but inside, it's like the cup that they talk about in the Bible is on the outside the cup looks clean, but on the inside, it's filthy dirty. It's people who are utilizing their gifts for their own selves. They might even think that they're walking in the spirit. But if you you will catch them, you will know them by their fruit. And the obedience, the love, the joy, the patience, the kindness, the goodness, the faithfulness, the gentleness, and self-control. Um and sometimes you can. See these things clear as day. And then those are the times that you also the posture of prayer where build one another up. We're not gonna be like, Oh, I can't believe that person was this way to me. Like, pish posh on them. No, it's now you have eyes to see and ears to hear. Pray for them, Lord. Change me and do what you gotta do with them. I heard yesterday, you know, I've said often on here, change me and bless them. I want to switch that up now because I have learned that I don't want God to bless them. If they're doing something wrong, I want God to do whatever he can to save them.
SPEAKER_00The Lord's will be done.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Do whatever you can, God, to get their attention, whether that's taking their job away, taking their friends away, moving them, whatever you gotta do, God, to make sure that I see them in heaven. Because I don't want to. This would all be for nothing if we can't reach the one. And I think about the one that's, you know, my biological siblings, my family. Like, I need, and I pray that God do whatever you can to get to them, whether that's divine appointments, taking things away that aren't for them. I don't want you to just bless them. I want you to do what you can only do in and through your people, in and through your words, in and through the Holy Spirit, because I don't want to live this life on earth and not see them in eternity.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I think about Sam's story that we shared a couple episodes back. Like he he called out to her, and it was also continued prayers and love from her, she calls it her yellow, which would be her brother. Like, we all should have a yellow who's gonna love us, pray for us, sit with us in the in the muck, but also pray that we get out of the muck. And that's powerful.
SPEAKER_02In the body of Christ, we want to be all walking in the spirit, all on the same page, doing what God wants us to do. Go out and share the good news, make disciples, Matthew 28, 19. And with that, is building one another up to be more wise, to be more like Christ. So if you encounter a fool, don't bog them down. You get to build them up and pray for them.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yep. And wait and God, we've talked about this before. Wait for God to create that opportunity for them to want wise counsel from you. Hey, I'm struggling with this. Is this a sin? And what does God say about this, you know, specifically? You you gotta wait, and He will. I promise you, I'm living proof that there's people around me that I love that are living proof that you wait on the Lord. What's that song? I'm gonna wait on you. I love that jam. It's so good because we don't wait.
SPEAKER_02And there's things to do in the waiting. It's not like twiddle my fingers, sit back, and don't do nothing. The posture of waiting is the prayer.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. So as you were talking before, I came upon this other scripture, which is also in Ephesians. And it's so good because it connects. Everything in the Bible connects. We can read one scripture, it'll connect to another. But for the wisdom of the Holy Spirit, fire permeating in every part of your life. This is where we at. Ephesians 3, 16. That according to the riches of his glory, he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints, which is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Knowledge is great. You can read the whole book, you could even know scripture, you could have it memorized. But if you are not implementing wisdom into your life, it's depart from me.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Knowledge is knowing and talking, but not walking. You gotta bring this Bible to your own life and walk it out. Walk it like you talk it. We have an episode on that. I want to read um Proverbs 3 in its fullness of what my Bible says.
SPEAKER_00Um we doing a Bible study up here. We are.
SPEAKER_02We're up in Bible study. This is Fearless Queen's Podcast Bible study edition. This is um Proverbs 3. My son, never forget the things I've taught you. Never. Like ever. That's what it says. If you want a long and satisfying life, so what do we do if we want a long, satisfying life? I know I do. Tina, you, yeah?
SPEAKER_00Uh yes, please. This is what we do. As long as the Lord wants me here.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I want to be here for whatever time God wants me. I don't want to leave this earth without my full potential being fulfilled. So closely follow my instructions. Whose instructions? Jesus, God, the Holy Spirit says again, never forget to be truthful and kind. Hold these virtues tightly, write them deep within your heart. Why? Because out of out of the heart, the mouth speaks. So if you have ick in your heart, you're gonna speak that. And words are life and death. The power of life and death is in the tongue. You want to be speaking life.
SPEAKER_00A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. And I got to see that in real time of a sweet, gentle soul. And then a harsh, harsh words being spoken. And I listened, I was in the middle. Literally, I was in the middle, and I was like, oh God, what do I do? Fill me. And one person is in emotion, stressed out, rightfully so. She she was tired and all the things, and she was angry and she was speaking anger. And then you have the other person who's just the sweetest little person who just is filled with so much Jesus. And she like walks away and she's like, I can't listen to this anymore. It's hurting my heart. And I was like, wow.
SPEAKER_02Wisdom to walk away and discernment to know when to leave.
SPEAKER_00And it was like a gentle answer turns away wrath. We were all stopped dead in our tracks because we love both of them. How do we love this one back to back to love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and self-control, gentleness, all the things? And how do we encourage this one? Like, thank you for being a light to those living in the shadow.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_00It was wild and just like the sensation of anger versus gentle.
SPEAKER_02The difference between the two is emotionally fed and feeding into emotions and letting the emotions take you over. It's we are emotional beings. We are meant to feel emotions, but it's when we allow those emotions to propel our actions and our words is what gets us in trouble.
SPEAKER_00Wow.
SPEAKER_02We can feel all day long, but our feelings are fleeting.
SPEAKER_00Yes, they are.
SPEAKER_02And people are fickle. Someone says, folk, folks are fickle. They are. They love you one second and they hate you the next. Amen. It's like a teenager. We all are like little children. We are called to be little children.
SPEAKER_00For real. Sometimes I'm like, you know, they talk about teenagers being hormonal, emotional, all the different things here and there. They're still learning. They're like literally in the process of figuring it out. We've been on here long enough. We we like as adults, we need to stop sitting in our fickleness and embrace what God is and has done for and through us to show the younger generation. Because I feel like right now the younger generation is showing the older generation.
SPEAKER_02They are. And I see that time and time again. It's a blessing. And thank praise God to rise up a strong Joshua and a strong Eli right now. And if you don't know what I'm talking about, read your Bible. There were young people, Jeremiah, these prophets, these young Josiah. He he was king at eight years old. Young people to turn and show the older generation that there's a better way. Yeah. Before that, before they croak and they don't know that there had was ever a better way.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, absolutely.
SPEAKER_02It's all for a person purpose. That's why it's so amazing to be at the table amongst older and younger because you can learn from both. Wisdom has no age limit. Wisdom, just because you're 55 doesn't mean you're wiser than that seven-year-old.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Truly.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And what Tina's talking about, going back to the emotional driven, we don't want you to be stuck in the emotions that happened or the ick that had happened at that age 16 or 14 or 50, whatever it may be. You have more life to live. If you didn't, you wouldn't have woken up today.
SPEAKER_00Share what you were talking about. I love this. I love this. I love this. And this is so powerful. Share what you were talking about, the woman who shared about how she it's hard to be around people or something because she's just all in. Like, let's go, let's do this, let's heal, let's share the light of Jesus. And some people are like, whoa, she's on fire all the time. Like, I feel like I'm always in a stage of like, let's learn, let's grow, let's learn. What is this lesson? What is this lesson? And my kids are like, oh my gosh, what do you mean it's not about the, it's not about the shoes? Like, they're still confused, but I keep teaching. Do you remember why I don't want to name names? The dark hair Bible study. She's at your Bible study. She also spoke yesterday.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Lord help me.
SPEAKER_00Her daughter, when you were sponsored her daughter.
SPEAKER_02Yes, yes, yes. Okay. Perfect. Thank you, Lord. So we are people that be people in. And we are persons who are called to be personal. And with this, this woman was saying, you know, I've been craving and looking and pursuing a community that lives authentically. And I realized because it was happening to me as well, because Tina and I very much like what you see is what you get. There is no hiding anything. There's very little things that I don't think we've ever not shared on here that we go through. We try our best to be who we are. Like if you see us in the grocery store, if you see us out in public, if you see us at the gym or here, that that's who we are.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And so often people have these masks on, and it takes such a long time to get out who you really are, because it's covered by the surface level things of this world. And then it's layer after layer, it's walls being built and put up that we have to break through to be like, so who are you really? Who am I actually talking to? What is the purpose here? And if you haven't, if this is the first time you've ever listened, you know that we just jump right into the deep end. Lord, just help us stay afloat in the deep end. I don't want to just put my toe in. I want to be fully immersed in whatever God has for me.
SPEAKER_00We're here to save souls.
SPEAKER_02Yes, that's crazy. Yeah, like crazy awesome to be doing. Like we want people's lives saved and eternity because eternity is forever. We don't want to see somebody in hell that and they're looking up, like, why didn't you tell me?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And I think also about there's another woman who talked about how she never has had a group of women like where she trusted, but also like trust her. And she was saying something along the lines of, Well, I was sitting there and this woman started sharing, and then this woman shared, and then she thought to herself, Well, I guess I can share now.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Vulnerability equates to more vulnerability.
SPEAKER_00And why aren't we creating a space for people to be vulnerable? Yes. I mean, there was a point where I came up and I'm like, I feel really icky right now. I feel emotional. I feel angry. I need to cry. But I also want to give this to Jesus with my sisters in Christ since you're here with me. Like, don't let my flesh take over, but let me share. Let me, can you hold a space for me?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Not just like vomit on people.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00And they did, they held a space and then we prayed. And you know what happened? God went to work.
SPEAKER_02There's a difference between the pity party and the prayer party. Two different things. If you go to people and you're telling them all the yuck and muck, and they're like, oh yeah, you are a victim. This happened to you. You need to get back at them. How dare they do this? And they're like building up your ego, but they're tearing down your spirit self.
SPEAKER_00And then there's also the wisdom in when someone shares something. I had someone share something with me, and my head, I wanted to be like, well, this is what you need to do. This is what you need to do. Just read this part of the Bible, read this. And the Lord was like, wait, wait and listen. I will let you know if and when you are the one to share this with her.
SPEAKER_02Right. It's loving them also where they are at. It's such a fine line, but that is wisdom. Yes. And you won't know that if you don't have the wisdom and revelation of the Lord, because nobody else gives wisdom. It says the Lord. We've said this over and over. And I want to share some of the things that I wrote that God gave me yesterday while reading the Bible. Because I felt it was so bizarre. And this is just me. I felt it was so bizarre. I shared that I had a miscarriage at uh church the other day. And it was so sweet for somebody to come up to me and say, it was very brave or powerful for you to share such a vulnerable thing. Not knowing that like there's an article about it, that we've already done a podcast about it. Uh because I don't think that I'm supposed to keep this to myself. Like, look what the Lord has done, look what he's still doing in and through that.
SPEAKER_00Um anything, any story to share to glorify God.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Anything. Because grieving and suffering, there is also joy in that. And that's what makes you different from the world because you're not staying stuck in there. And of course, there was crying and all the things, but we are called to be personal because we are persons. So don't keep anything in the dark. That is what the enemy wants you to do. Because if the lightness can't touch it, it's still staying in the dark. There was a great analogy that happened over the weekend as well in the light, there's a shadow. Don't turn to the shadow, keep going towards the light. Yeah. And so your story is meant to be shared. It's not because poor me, look what happened to me. It is look at what God is doing, look what God has done, look what he continues to do with all of this stuff. It is also when you share, it creates vulnerability, authenticity, full transparency, radical honesty. That's a real relationship. I don't know about you, but I don't want no fake anything. Yeah. Fake fruit, fake people, fake news, fake baloney, whatever it may be. Like, oh my goodness.
SPEAKER_00I think baloney is fake.
SPEAKER_02It is fake. You want it. Aren't you tired of that? And so why? Why does any of this matter? Well, I'm glad you asked. Okay. It's to show people who you're becoming and where you have come from. Because people might meet you in the darkest places of your life, and they can help pull you out of that when you share. Because hey, maybe it's happened to them too. Or maybe you're meeting somebody in the most joyous place and they share what has happened to them and their jaw drops because it's like maybe they're going through something hard. And because you're sharing what has happened to you, but you are so full of joy, it makes absolutely no sense how you are filled with joy. They can turn to you and see the light at the end of their tunnel because right now they're going through grief, they're going through suffering, and there's light out of it because we nothing in this world is super like you're super different than I am. And everything that's happened to you has never happened to anybody else. Like we are all like people who have gone through similar things. It's not the exact same, but there is nothing in this life that has not happened to somebody else in some way, shape, or form. So the more open and honest and real we can be with somebody, how much more could we heal one another in the body of Christ, especially? Because the world is going to tear you down. That is the difference between walking with Christ and walking with the world. The world's gonna tear you down, tell you to shut up, talk about it, dwell in it. You're the victim, they're the oppressor, this, that, and the other. You can hate them. No, no, no, no, no, no. The body of Christ is meant to heal, and we forgive them because they didn't understand what they were doing.
SPEAKER_00Okay, let me ask you a question, just popped in my mind.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_00I'm putting you on the spot.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_00Um, so let's say you have somebody who you know they are at least walking and sharing the Lord, whether that's church on Sunday, well, whether that's you know the music they play or whatever. And there's things that they're doing in their life that are blatantly outwardly sinning against God. And maybe they have a business that is supporting the Lord, but they're actively sinning within the business. What in that situation do you do as a fellow believer, sister in Christ or brother in Christ?
SPEAKER_02My first thought is pray. Pray for them. There is nothing that we can say or do to change them because the Holy Spirit has the only power and authority to change somebody. Do you support their business? That would be a God thing. That would be a God question. That would be a God give me the answer. Because maybe one day you go into that business to support, and a conversation that you encounter or exchange is that propelling to for them to turn repent. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, I do. That's right. Or maybe it is not that time yet, so you need to love them from afar. That's that's amazing. And that's discernment, which you will only get with the wisdom and revelation of the Lord.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Because there are times where we need to go in. I mean, the Lord, Jesus didn't walk away from people who needed help, he walked towards people who needed help. But he was very specific on who he helped. Yeah. Because there was people along the way that I'm sure every everybody needs healing. Everybody needs a miracle, everybody needs prayer.
SPEAKER_00How many people were at the pool of Bethesda?
SPEAKER_02Exactly. But one person was healed that day. So Jesus had to go over multiple people to get to the one. So it might not be your time that day. Yeah. But it might be somebody else's time that day. I love that. That's good. Thank you, Holy Spirit. For real. Because I know nothing. All I know, the more I learn about God, is I know nothing. And that's exactly where I want to be.
SPEAKER_00Absolutely.
SPEAKER_02And did you know that real rebels follow Jesus?
SPEAKER_00Oh, good. We're rebels. Rebels for Jesus. Yes. So I'm gonna read Proverbs 10, 19 as we were talking and sharing, just made me think of this. I know I've been guilty of this. Lord, change me uh in every way to be more like you.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_00So on the NIV version it says, sin is not ended by multiplying words, but the prudent hold their tongues. And I think it's so important to be wise enough to have the wisdom to know when to speak and when to be quiet. And it was so like, I'm gonna go back to this same story. It was so beautiful, like a vision of an older person saying too many words out of anger. And then the younger person could like didn't say any words because she knew her heart was hurting, and what would come out wouldn't be peace, joy, peace, and kindness, goodness, gentleness, all the fruit. It would be the fruit of the Holy Spirit, it would be the flesh. Yes, and so she it's like Proverbs 10:19 right there. The more talk, the less truth. The wise measure their words.
SPEAKER_02I gotta share Proverbs 12:15 now. So good. The okay. Fools think their own way is right, but the wise listen to others. It doesn't say talk to others, it doesn't say um it doesn't say talk, it doesn't say anything else but listen. And we have two ears, one mouth. The wise listen to others. I think that's just so like holy woe because of what you just said, in the sense of, you know, she listened and walked away. Yeah, she didn't go talk, yeah.
SPEAKER_00She listened. Yep. And then she then later confronted the situation. I believe in love because I know what's in her heart. And and that's why we continue to tell you to read your Bible. It's not just because you need to test everything against the word of God, it's also because He feels your worth, he feels your value, he fills you with wisdom, he fills you with knowledge, he fills you with your coming and your going, your desires. It's the basic instruction before leaving earth, and it is go ahead. I learned a new one over the week.
SPEAKER_02GPS did I write it down in my Bible? Um, it's God's provision system. Ooh, I think I wrote it in I thought I love that. Yeah, I'm like, and you want to know what it is? The Bible. The basic instruction before leaving earth is the GPS that you need because you ain't gonna get it anywhere else. It's God's provision system.
SPEAKER_00And you had mentioned at the beginning of before we started recording about Ecclesiastes and how that talks about there's a lot of wisdom in Ecclesiastes, which is written by Solomon after he was the the son. Of David, he became, you know, the wisest king in the entire world. And he had the most beautiful, gigantic kingdom, castle, whatever you call it. And he had everything he ever wanted because of David, his father, and what followed him. And then at the end of it all, number one, first he went into a bunch of sin with all his um ladies. But at the end of it all, he's like, it's all for nothing. Not it's all for nothing, but it was all nothing. Like he wrote Ecclesiastes because he realized it doesn't matter, it doesn't matter how much I have, it doesn't matter how much I do. It doesn't matter. What matters is loving God, essentially, and loving the Lord. So, anyways, read Ecclesiastes, learn about it. Again, don't take my word for it. That was just a quick synopsis. I don't always explain things as good as I would like to, but God's working on that in me.
SPEAKER_02Yes. I want to read something of Ecclesiastes as we get ready to close this out.
SPEAKER_00Are you reading three?
SPEAKER_02Go for it if you want to read it. Is that what you're reading? No, I was gonna go over to um get ready with chapter eight.
SPEAKER_00So three is there's a there's an opportune time to do things, a right time for everything on earth. And if the Lord leads you to read three, one, and keep going, it's a right time, a right time, a right time, a right time, a time to do this, a time to do that. We've heard it, there's an old song about it. Like and we don't decide the time, we wait on the Lord, and He gives us the time.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we have a whole episode about God's timing. Yeah, it's perfect with a capital P. Um, so two things now. L O L. All right, so this is chapter eight in Ecclesiastes, verse 16 and 17. So this is Solomon speaking. In my search for wisdom, I observed that all was going on everywhere across the earth, ceaseless activity day and night. Of course, only God can see everything, and even the wisest man who says he knows everything doesn't. Because the more you know and learn about God, that's why God is so mysterious and so awe, and you can never fully know everything. Because if you knew everything, you would be God. You don't know where were you when the foundations of the earth was built. Honey bunny, you weren't there. Okay, so you don't know everything. Okay. So I wanted to look up um you look that up.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna read.
SPEAKER_02Go for it.
SPEAKER_00So this is Ecclesiastes 3 11, because I just I keep getting called back to it. He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet, so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. Meaning you're not gonna know everything, you ain't God. I perceive that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live.
SPEAKER_02I think we even need like I don't we so we at the beginning before we started recording, we're like, maybe it's wisdom and foolishness. And we're like, no, we can't dwell on fools because we want you to be filled with wisdom. Yes, we want you to know what wisdom is, and then for your own self, you could because as you read the Bible, it talks a lot about the counterpart of being a fool because you're one or the other. You're either cold or hot. You cannot be lukewarm any longer, people. Yeah, and so what I was looking at was or looking up was Proverbs 26, 11. As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool repeats his foolishness. And this entire Proverbs 26 is talking about what happens when you're trusting a fool. What happens if you speak or honor or uh employ a fool? That is why we call this the instruction before leaving earth. If you want to know how to do life, what to do when, and when to do what, read the word, the capital W. O R D. I can't emphasize it enough.
SPEAKER_00Is that the verse where it talks about throwing pearls to pigs? Um uh like probably it's basically throwing pearls to pigs is is is what do you think pigs think of pearls? They don't care. They don't, if it's not food, they don't want it. Yes, and we can have knowledge, we can also have wisdom.
SPEAKER_02What's super cool about this? I gotta say it, it's in Matthew. Okay, and what we're reading is the Old Testament, and then God brings Jesus brings it to life in the New Testament. Don't waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don't throw your pearls to pigs, they will trample the pearls, then attack you. That's Matthew 7, 6, and it's Jesus talking.
SPEAKER_00It's kind of similar to, and I Lord help me say this in the way that is only love, it's similar to the question I asked you about the business. I'm not gonna go into this business and say, you know that this way you're living is very sinful, and you need right like, and not saying that that's pearls, because that's not pearls, but any sort of wisdom about telling somebody about how they should live according to the word of God is it is gonna fall on deaf ears because they're not ready to receive it yet. And that's why Sarah said, pray. The first thing I think of is pray. And that's what I've been doing. That's what, like, as soon as I that's wisdom.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. It's not this is not a walk in the park. This ain't easy. This is a marathon, also, not a sprint. Absolutely. Don't just become this all of a sudden. There's no such thing as overnight success.
SPEAKER_00And you ask God for the wisdom and discernment and the knowledge of Him, His Spirit will fill you. And when you see something that hurts you or that irks you, or that you know is not right, like remember where you came from and everything that he has saved you from, and all the people that have prayed for you to get you to where you are in this moment. And I got also a glimpse of that this weekend, like looking at someone who is where I was very similar to where I was five years ago. And I'm like also seeing the beauty of everyone who loved me to where I am today. And it was such a gift that I now get to give, right? We we le go back and go down the hill and pick that person up because you I was at the bottom of that hill, and I'm not gonna push her down.
SPEAKER_02You're gonna say, Hey, come on, you can do it. You encourage them in love and love them along the way in Christ and pray for them.
SPEAKER_00It's like the gratitude song. You have a lion inside of you. Yes, let it out, girl.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_00So that's a lot. That was a lot, and we hope you received it in love. We hope that you want to be better because we're better together. Yes. And we hope and pray that there is some Holy Spirit conviction. I want Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit conviction all the time because if you're not growing, you're dying.
SPEAKER_02Amen. Holy Spirit conviction is God's love. Because he loves you so much, he doesn't want you to stay the same. He wants more for you.
SPEAKER_00A father disciplines whom he loves. Yes.
SPEAKER_02You don't yell at a kid that didn't look both ways across the street because you're because you don't love them. You yell at them because they could have gotten killed. Yeah, absolutely. All right. With that being said, can you pray us out to you?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, absolutely. Father God, thank you for today. A day we have never seen before, a day we will never live out fully the way we do today. And may we go today with the spirit of you living and indwelling in our every thought, in our every action, everything we eat, everything we drink, everything we listen to, everything we watch, Father God. May you be in it. And I thank you for these listeners. I praise you for what you are doing in and through their lives because I know, Father God, if they are listening to your word, you are speaking to them. So speak to them in love and truth and joy and peace and patience. Kindness, goodness, gentleness, and self control. Thank you, Father God, for my sisters and brothers in Christ. And we pray all of this in your precious high and holy name. Amen.
SPEAKER_02Amen. Until next fearless Friday. Bye.
